Roger Younglove, CISSP pioneered the efforts to start the ISSA-Motor City Chapter in 1999. He believed there was a need, and sufficient interest for a local Chapter, based on his queries to those he knew in the Security industry in the Detroit area. By January 2000 he enlisted several people to assist him, called a meeting and founded the chapter. Since then the first round of officers were selected, and meetings from February to May of 2000 formalized the chapter. Regular meetings were established during this period, with speakers on current popular security topics. Roger attended the national meeting in Florida, in March 2000 for the purpose of meeting other chapter officers, and discussing what has made other chapters successful. The Chapter reached 50 members under his 2 Year Presidency in 2002.
