Brian Gawne

Brian Gawne is a senior manager with CTG’s Information Security Solutions practice where he is responsible for running the CTG Incident Response team, as well as delivering information security services to our clients. Mr. Gawne has over 14 years’ experience in information systems security design, implementation, and management, and over 12 years’ experience with performing digital forensics investigations for large companies in diverse geographic locations and industries. Before joining CTG, Mr. Gawne managed a consulting company called the Olympus Security Group, Inc., which focused on digital forensics and high-end security consulting. Mr. Gawne frequently works with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI and US Secret Service to track malicious activity, including testifying in court as a security expert. He is a board member of the High Tech Crime Unit, US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, and the President of the Detroit Chapter of ISSA. He provides training around the world in digital forensics and has authored several articles and books on the subject. Mr. Gawne holds a bachelor of arts in business information systems from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Along with many product-specific certifications, Mr. Gawne is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Systems Manager from ISACA, and has his Encase certification from Guidance Systems. He is a member of the following affiliations: International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), the Association of Certified fraud Examiners (ACFE), ASIS International, High Tech Crime Unit (HTCIA), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and the FBI Infragard Program.

Phillip is a Security Engineer working for EDS within the Directory and Security Group. His background includes the Automobile NetworkExchange(ANX), GM OnLine, and the U.S. Department of Commerce (NTIS).



Steven D. Hill

Steve D. Hill (President - 2004) holds an MBA – Information Assurance from the NSA Center of Academic Excellence program at Walsh College – Troy, Michigan and a BSBA – Management from Colorado Technical University. He is a past President of the Motor City Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association and Symantec Corporation’s Manager of IDP Solution Sales. During his more than 15 years in Information Security, Steve has also served as a Regional Vice President at Computer Associates International and VP of Worldwide Channels for Citadel Security Software, Inc. Steve’s technology career started in Nuclear and Electrical Engineering in the US Navy. He is also an avid aviator and sports enthusiast, holding a commercial pilots license and a 3rd Degree Black belt in Kodokan Judo. Steve says his favorite activities are found in bending the traffic laws in his red Mazda RX-8 (Zoom Zoom) and playing golf, which he says is more relaxing because it is actually played “right side up” and with fewer “white knuckles.” Steve admits that he is no Tiger Woods, but adds it’s unlikely that Tiger has played golf links in all 50 U.S., but Steve has. He has the logo balls to prove it.

Michael Riley

Michael Riley, Security Solutions Development Manager for Verizon Business Michael is a Board Member and past President of the ISSA Motor City Chapter. Michael has over 35 years of experience in Network and Security services. He has held positions as Security Consultant, Security Sales Engineer, Security Sales and Sales Management for ISP’s and leading security hardware and software companies.
Other organizations Michael has belonged to are, Program Manager of DEFSIG a Michigan Forensic Interest Group, and Advisor to the local InfraGard Chapter. Michael has a CISSP certification, and has been teaching The Official (ISC)2 CBK Review Seminars at Walsh College. He has proctored the CISSP tests in Michigan.



Roger

Roger is a Board Member and past President of the ISSA Motor City Chapter.
