Job Description
This description represents contract roles that will come to the surface on an ongoing basis. We’re seeking independent security consultants who could be available for 2 weeks to 3 months for project work between their more significant engagements. In this role you’ll travel from wherever you are to client sites across the country but primarily between Ohio and Boston including the DC, NY/NJ metro areas. You’ll perform business risk consulting in a variety of industries and will be capable of using a tool like Risk Watch to perform your assessment work. Typical projects are 2 weeks to 3 months and are paid by daily rate that depends on your depth of experience. Travel to the client site is necessary. This client operates on a Monday morning through Friday afternoon work week.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Someone who has experience with Risk Watch (a software program) who can
perform business risk consulting tied to ISO 17799 standards. Additional
experience with regulatory compliance issues such as SOX or FISMA,
regulations that “have teeth” is mandatory. This consultant should
also understand NIST 800-53 and 800-53a. As with any consultant role,
candidates must have exceptionally strong verbal and written communication
skills and must demonstrate an understanding of the role of a short-term
consultant. Certifications such as the CISSP and CISA are preferred and
vendor-specific certifications and certifications from SANS are also highly
appreciated.
