Requirements Job Description: The Logistics and Engineering Solutions
Business Unit has an Vulerability Assessment Analyst position located
in Dearborn, MI. IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION,
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS EITHER AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET OR HIGHER
SECURITY CLEARANCE BASED ON A SSBI BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION OR AN
ACTIVE AND CURRENT IT1 PUBLIC TRUST POSITION CERTIFICATION THAT CAN
BE TRANSFERRED. SAIC was awarded a Subcontract Win with Hewlett
Packard as the Prime Contractor, supporting the Defense Logistics
Agency Enterprise Data Center Program. Candidate will report to the
SAIC Data Center Security Operations Center Information Assurance
Team Lead. Candidate provides Information Assurance (IA) support to a
large Department of Defense Data Center operation. Candidate is
specifically responsible for the IA Vulnerability Assessment program.
The VA Analyst will function as part of the Enterprise Data Center
(EDC) Security Operations Center (SOC) Information Assurance (IA)
Team. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for tasks related to
the Vulnerability Analysis (VA) program. This program will
proactively monitor and assess the security posture of the EDC. The
primary method used to accomplish this activity is security audits
via network and system scans, including eEye Retina scans, ISS
Internet Scanner, DISA Golddisk scans, and DISA SRR scans. The VA
Analyst will need to maintain and develop a broad knowledge of
systems technology and security practices, particularly as they
relate to DoD system security. The VA Analyst should also have
talents related to initiative, research, report generation, and
detail-orientation. Typical tasks for a VA Analyst are listed
below. • Perform security audits of EDC hosted and management
systems, including eEye Retina scans, DISA Golddisk scans, and DISA
SRR scans. • Install, configure, and maintain VA software • Develop
and maintain policies and procedures necessary to install, configure,
and maintain VA software pursuant DLA policy Education: Bachelor-s
Degree in either Computer Science or Information Technology, or a
minimum of 12 years of hands-on IA experience. Completion of
specialized IT Security training programs or courses is strongly
desired (i.e. CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP). Required Skills: Must have
a minimum of 7 year-s hands-on experience in general Information
Technology experience with 3 years experience in INFOSEC. IN ORDER TO
BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS EITHER AN
ACTIVE DOD SECRET OR HIGHER SECURITY CLEARANCE BASED ON A SSBI
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION OR AN ACTIVE AND CURRENT IT1 PUBLIC TRUST
POSITION CERTIFICATION THAT CAN BE TRANSFERRED. Must demonstrate the
skill and ability to apply INFOSEC concepts and practices in the
evaluation of diverse DoD IT systems; experience with leading
technical security engagements for a large enterprise (greater than
5,000) employees; familiarity with a broad range of operating systems
and business applications; experience managing systems engineering
projects for IT security; must have proven experience in Incident
Response handling and analysis processes and procedures; hands-on
experience monitoring and managing host and network intrusion
detection systems; hands-on experience utilizing a Security
Information Management system (SIM); hands-on experience performing
vulnerability analysis scans and analysis against hosts and networks;
in-depth comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols,
firewall theory, and packet analysis. Detailed working knowledge of
network trouble shooting procedures required to resolve IA security
issues. Desired Skills: Strongly desire candidates to have general
knowledge of DoD National Industrial Security Program and related
security requirements; knowledge of the DoD National Industrial
Security Program-s requirements of protecting AIS; knowledge of the
requirements of the Department of Defense DoDI 8500.2 Security
Controls for AIS security requirements; specific knowledge of DoD and
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Assurance directives,
regulations, instructions, and manuals. Five to seven years of
systems security experience for large DoD IT programs. Previous
military experience or prior experience with military IT contracts is
also a plus.
