Sr. Security Analyst

• Responsibilities include: Monitors, evaluates and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases from unauthorized users.
• Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations.
• Determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective actions.
• Researches, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance systems security.
• Assists in the development of and conducts periodic system security tests.
• May perform moderately complex analyses on test results and prepares reports on this information for management.
• Educates and communicates security requirements and procedures to all users; orients new employees.
• Prepares periodic and special reports to IS management about security status.
• Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in business or computer science.
• Four to five years of programming and/or systems analysis with two to four years of data security experience.
• Good knowledge of data security practices and procedures.
• Good knowledge of database administration, programming and systems analysis procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of database software and operating systems.
• Excellent communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in systems support process.
• Candidate will be highly motivated having a strong sense of urgency, high detail orientation and adept at multitasking.
• Candidate will also be a team player with strong organizational skills, have a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Must possess demonstrated customer relation skills and technical abilities.
