Responsibilities

 

·         Provides leadership and direction for IT security, risk and compliance management.

 

·         Directs and supervises the work of a team. Monitors and reports on team member progress, ensures timely and accurate task status and time entry.

 

·         Serves as the primary contact for security, risk, and compliance and may serve as the subject matter expert on departmental and cross functional projects.

 

·         Develops and maintains a risk profile, and risk management and compliance program that includes, but is not limited to SOX, PCI, HIPAA, Consumer Privacy, and software asset management; and provides management with risk assessment and compliance reporting.

 

·         Responsible for evaluation and selection of security applications and systems.

 

·         Manages the development and delivery of IT security policies, standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise working closely with Internal Audit, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance.

 

·         Makes recommendations and assists in implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective or to strengthen security measures.

 

·         Maintains strong vendor relationships; provides support in contract negotiations; ensures contract compliance.

 

Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience in information security.

 

·         Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience. 3+ years experience in information security and staff management required.

 

·         Security certification required – CISSP, CISM or CISA.

 

·         Experience leading complex projects and team sizes ranging from 5-15 resources.

 

·         Proven ability to meet project deadlines and budgets and to manage multiple concurrent projects.

 

·         Ability to distill and quantify technical issues and present recommendations to management and technical peers.

 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

·         Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers.

 

·         Expert knowledge of current information security techniques and measures implemented in mid-size retail organizations preferred.
