Job Description:
The Network Engineer will work under the direction of the Network
Manager to deliver network architecture administration, management &
support of the company's Data and VoIP production networks.

This Network Engineer position serves as the primary Liaison to the
Network Operations Team, and must be able to work in a fast-paced
environment with multiple projects in play at any given time.

The Network Engineer must have good communication skills, the ability
to prioritize tasks and be a self-starter.

Role Responsibilities Include:
- Cisco Enterprise class switch administration & maintenance
- Design & support of private VPN WAN network
- Support of Cisco VoIP Enterprise Call Manager 4.2
- WAN network troubleshooting skills a requirement
- Work with Service Providers troubleshooting WAN issues
- Support of data center & LAN layer 3
- Design/support of data center & LAN layer 2
- Design/support of server load balancing & HA
- Support and knowledge of enterprise IP network schemes
- Network SNMP, DNS & DHCP administration and maintenance
- FTP support and maintenance
- Experience working for a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier
- Ensure that the data and voice networks are properly configured for
optimum performance and stability
- Assist/Support other network related tasks/requirements as directed
by the Network Manager
- Design/support of VMWare virtual server environment a plus
- Knowledge and support of SAN and BAN environments
- Windows IIS web site configuration and administration a plus

Required Knowledge/Education:
- Experience managing Cisco Networking Enterprise Environment
- Layer 3 & Layer 2 Network Switching Skills
- Strong understanding of both WAN/LAN configuration
- Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP ports
- Understanding of OSI Reference Model
- Network Implementation of Cisco Monitoring Tools
- Knowledge and understanding of Physical & Logical Security
- Knowledge of CiscoWorks
- Any Linux OS knowledge a plus
- F5 Load Balancer Administration or equivalent Skill a plus
- Network Integration of Web Hosted applications
- Knowledge and understanding of SAN and BAN Switch Technologies
- Extensive Understanding of Fibre Technology
- Understanding of LWAP Wireless
- Experience supporting SOx Environment
- Any of CCNA, CCNP, CISSP or CCVP Certifications

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in computer related
field or 7 years of equivalent Cisco network engineering experience
is necessary.
